Terms
Terms of service
What applies between you and us. In plain language.
In force from 1 November 2026. This is the English version of our terms; it is being reviewed and may still be clarified.
1. Who we are
Slashsite is operated by UDT s.r.o., registered office Horníkova 2965/32f, 628 00 Brno-Líšeň, Czech Republic, Company ID 28288670, VAT No. CZ28288670, entered in the Commercial Register kept by the Regional Court in Brno, section C, insert 58849. We are registered for VAT.
You can write to us at [email protected]. You enter into the contract with this company, not with the AI assistant that answers on the website.
2. What you order from us
We build small websites for businesses and sole traders, clubs and artists, and websites for hobbies. If you already have a website, we redesign it (a redesign). If you don't have one, we build a new one from your answers in the questionnaire. We don't build websites for councils, schools, public authorities or election campaigns. Both routes have four stages and the first three are free and without obligation:
- Brief. For a redesign you send the address of your current website and your email. We check that the address belongs to the website and send you one confirmation email. For a new website you answer in the questionnaire what the website will be about and confirm your email with a code we send to it.
- Two designs. We build two versions, usually within two working days: for a redesign from the content of your current website, for a new website from your answers and materials. Whatever you don't tell us won't be in the design. They are real websites you can click through at a temporary address, not pictures.
- Choice and changes. You have thirty days to think it over. Two rounds of changes are included, at no charge.
- Launch. You pay after choosing a design and placing your order. We then fine-tune the texts and put the website live. For a redesign you point your domain at it following our instructions, or we do it for you if you wish. For a new website, we register the domain (clause 5).
Until you choose a design you pay nothing and sign nothing. If you don't choose or don't get back to us, after thirty days we delete the designs and everything we downloaded from your website. We delete files uploaded in the questionnaire after 120 days at the latest. Before the thirty days are up, we remind you at most once.
We don't do analyses, audits or reviews of other people's websites. We download your current website only to take its content into the designs.
3. When the contract is formed
Neither sending the form nor confirming the confirmation email forms a contract. It is only a request for designs without obligation and a check that the website is yours, or for a new website that the email address belongs to you.
The contract is formed only when you choose one of the versions and confirm the launch order in writing: with the order button in the client area, or by email. Until then, either side can walk away at any time and without giving a reason.
4. Prices and payment
Prices are final, including VAT. The prices that apply are those shown on the pricing page at the time of the order.
| Item | Price | How it is paid |
|---|---|---|
| Website and running costs for a year | €290£249 | a year in advance, the first year when you order |
| Sections beyond the price of the website | from €2£1.75 a month | with the service, according to what the part does (below) |
| Work beyond minor updates | agreed in advance | only after you approve it |
Sections of the website and their price. Each section of the website has a monthly price according to what it does: a section that only shows content, whether it is a page, part of a page or separate pages for each service, project or series of works, and however many items and pages it has, €2£1.75; a section that sends a message out (a form, a small shop with a Buy button), €4£3.50; a service that stores data with us, €6£5.25; bookings, where the data changes every day, €8£7; an interactive feature that calculates something tailored, €6 to €10£5.25 to £8.75 depending on what it does (how many details the customer enters, the controls, a drawn result, the underlying data, the calculation, working with time, a photo prepared to measure). The home page, contact, map, opening hours, frequently asked questions, privacy notice, terms, the thank-you after sending a form and links are free. The price of the website includes sections with a combined monthly price of up to €30£26.25. You only pay for what is above that, together with the service, for each service period. You will see what a design costs with each version before you order, and the price then doesn't change. Unused room in the price of the website stays available for sections added after launch (clause 6).
The prices of sections, and which price a section falls into, may change over time. For a website you have already ordered, the price stays as it was when you ordered it.
We don't build an online shop with a basket and stock. A blog with categories and an archive, and a version in another language, are priced separately and we tell you the price in advance.
You pay for the website and the first year of the service after you place your order: we'll email you how to pay and send an invoice.
Other payments, that is further years of the service and agreed work beyond minor updates, you pay within 14 days of us sending you the payment details, and you receive the invoice once the payment has arrived. We only charge for work beyond minor updates if you approve it in advance; without approval we neither do it nor charge for it.
5. Domain
Redesign. The domain stays yours and where it is. You have it registered and pay for it yourself with your registrar. For a redesign we don't charge you for registering or renewing the domain and don't pay for it on your behalf.
At launch we give you the details of what to set with your registrar. You can make the settings yourself, or we make them at your request, including redirecting email. We don't touch the domain without your consent. You are responsible for renewing the registration in time: if the domain lapses, the website stops being available even if your service is paid.
New website. We register the domain in your name, for a club in the club's name, and while the service continues we pay for its registration and renewal. We only register it after you have chosen a design and paid. You choose one of these endings: .co.uk, .org.uk, .com or .ie, and .eu only if you are a customer in the EU. For .ie we need proof of your connection to Ireland, such as your company number. If you already have a domain, the same applies as for a redesign.
6. What the service includes
Hosting is included in the price of the service: the website runs with us and you don't pay for it separately. For a redesign your email stays with your current provider: you only pay for the domain and, where relevant, email yourself. For a new website the domain and one mailbox on it are included too (clause 5). The service also includes the certificate, backups, the editor for your own changes and thirty minutes of our work each month for minor updates. Minutes don't carry over to the next month. After signing in you can see how many were used in a given month.
A minor update means a change to text, a price, a photo, opening hours or a contact. A change to the layout of a page is charged as work beyond minor updates, after you approve it in advance.
A new section after launch. A new section, for example a new page or feature, is not a minor update. The following applies to it:
- A section that fits into the unused room in the price of the website we build and deduct the work from the monthly minutes according to the actual time. If the minutes aren't enough, we finish the work and the minutes for that month drop to zero; you pay nothing extra. We add at most three sections a month in this way.
- A section that doesn't fit into the price of the website we build at no charge, and you pay its monthly price above the price of the website with the service, according to clause 4. You first see it in a preview. We publish it once you have paid its price from the month it was added to the end of the paid service period. Whole months count, including the month it was added. Further payments for the service are then higher by this amount.
- You can remove a section at any time. The service is reduced from the next payment; the paid period is not refunded. The room freed up in the price of the website can be used again.
The website runs on the Cloudflare network. We don't guarantee a specific availability as a percentage; we check that the page responds and deal with outages as soon as we know about them.
7. Your content and your responsibility
Texts, photos, the logo and other materials remain yours. By giving them to us, or by asking us to take them from your current website, you give us permission to use them to build and run your website.
You are responsible for the content of the website as its owner: for what you send us, what we take from your current website and what you add to the website yourself. You are responsible for having the rights to the content and for its publication not infringing anyone else's rights. We use photos from your website even when people can be recognised in them; we assume they have already agreed to be shown on your website. Photos, names and contact details of people that you send us yourself may only go on the website with their consent, and for children with their parents' consent. Works by other authors and photos by a photographer only with their permission. We publish customer reviews word for word and only with the consent of the person who wrote them. You obtain the consent. From photo libraries we only take pictures in which nobody can be recognised. We use the logo from your current website. We only put logos of partners, sponsors or an association on the website if you send them to us yourself, and you obtain their owner's consent. We don't download other people's logos ourselves.
We won't put content that is unlawful, misleading or harmful to third parties on the website, and we are entitled to refuse to publish it.
8. Ending and leaving
You can cancel the service at any time; an email is enough. The service is paid in advance and the unused part is not refunded: your website runs until the end of the paid period.
On request, and once any amounts owed have been paid, we hand over the website's source files as an archive to download: static HTML without a content management system, which you can deploy anywhere. You get the website exactly as a visitor sees it; editing the content is part of the service, so it ends with it.
For a redesign, the domain stays yours and with your registrar, so you don't need to transfer it anywhere: just point it at the new hosting. If you don't, nothing will show on it after the service ends.
For a new website, the domain is registered in your name. After the service ends, at your request we transfer it to a registrar of your choice, and you then pay for its renewal yourself. If you don't ask for a transfer, the domain lapses at the end of the paid registration period.
We can also end the service, with three months' notice, or immediately if content under clause 7 comes to light on the website.
9. Defects and complaints
If the website doesn't work as agreed, write to [email protected]. We will get back to you within three working days at the latest and put the defect right free of charge.
A change you published yourself through the editor is not a defect, nor is unavailability caused by an outage at the domain registrar or on the Cloudflare network.
10. If you are a consumer
If you order as a consumer, that is outside your business, the following also applies to you:
- Withdrawal within 14 days. You can withdraw from a contract concluded at a distance within fourteen days without giving a reason.
- Consent to start work. If you expressly ask us to start the launch before that period has ended and we provide the service, the right to withdraw ends. We will always tell you this in advance.
- Out-of-court dispute resolution. You can take a dispute to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce), adr.coi.cz.
11. Finally
The relationship is governed by the law of the Czech Republic. Anything not covered here is governed by the Czech Civil Code. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection given to you by the law of the country where you live.
We may change these terms. A change does not apply to contracts already concluded; for the service we will tell you about the change by email at least a month in advance, and until then you can cancel the service.
